What to Know About Women’s Basketball Today
1. The Talent Pool Keeps Growing in Nashville 🌱
Athletes Unlimited (AU) is stacking even more star power for its 5th season. The Nashville-based league announced that Isabelle “Izzy” Harrison of the New York Liberty will re-join AU for the 2026 season. (Athletes Unlimited)
WHY IT MATTERS: Harrison has been a steady contributor to a Liberty squad chasing back-to-back titles, averaging 11.1 minutes and 5.2 points per game. She’s also one of the few players to appear in every AU season since the league’s launch, continuing to boost its visibility as a valuable option for American athletes during the WNBA offseason. She’ll join Deja Kelly, NaLyssa Smith, Odyssey Sims, Te-Hina Paopao, among others, who have committed to play in 2026.

2. Fever Hope Clark Returns Before Season Ends🤞
There’s still hope. While the Indiana Fever haven’t shared a timeline for Caitlin Clark’s recovery from a groin injury, when asked by reporters if she’ll be back this season Coach Stephanie White responded, “That's the hope. The hope is that she's back.” (ESPN)
WHY IT MATTERS: Clark has been sidelined for a month, and the Fever have lost two other point guards—Aari McDonald and Sydney Colson—to injuries. Despite that, Indiana sits in 6th place at 19-16, with just 2.5 games separating the 6th and 10th seeds. If Clark can return for even one or two regular-season games, it could be the deciding factor in whether the Fever finish in the top 8 and make the playoffs.
Also of note: The Fever also waived guard Kyra Lambert on Monday, clearing additional roster space.

3. Overtime Select Crowns 2025 Champions 🏆
The All Knighters are the 2025 Overtime Select champions. Top 2026 recruit Saniyah Hall, who has committed to playing for USC, powered the team with 28 points and 12 rebounds, earning Finals MVP honors in the process. (Overtime Select)
WHY IT MATTERS: Overtime Select is a summer league spotlighting elite high school girls’ basketball players. With eight teams and more than 70 athletes competing, the league not only offers exposure during the offseason but also provides mentorship to help players grow as leaders on and off the court.
