Good morning! ☕️

We’ve got two Top 25 matchups to brighten the weekend. On Saturday, No. 1 UConn heads west to face No. 16 USC at 5:30 PM ET on FOX. On Sunday, No. 2 Texas welcomes No. 13 Baylor at 1:00 PM ET on ABC.

Should be a fun couple of days. Have a great weekend!

What to Know About Women’s Basketball Today

1. USA Basketball Training Camp This Weekend 🇺🇸

USA Basketball has brought together 17 athletes for a Women’s National Team training camp this weekend in Durham, North Carolina, the next key step in choosing the roster for the 2026 World Cup. (USA Basketball)

WHY IT MATTERS: The camp features a mix of experience and youth: Olympic champions like Brittney Griner, Jackie Young, and Kahleah Copper, rising pros such as Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers, and college standouts like Lauren Betts and JuJu Watkins (who’s attending while she continues her ACL recovery).

These three days give managing director Sue Bird a closer look at the pool before selecting the team that will head to Berlin in 2026, where the U.S. will aim for a fifth straight World Cup gold.

2. Christine Williamson to Lead ESPN’s College WBB Coverage 🎙️

ESPN has named Christine Williamson the new co-host of SportsCenter at 6 p.m. and the new lead host for women’s college basketball coverage, stepping into the role previously held by Elle Duncan. (Front Office Sports)

WHY IT MATTERS: Williamson has been steadily growing her presence across ESPN’s digital shows and studio coverage for years, and this promotion puts her front and center during one of the sport’s biggest growth moments. Duncan became a familiar, trusted voice in ESPN’s women’s basketball storytelling, so this is a meaningful passing of the torch.

With Duncan heading to Netflix, Malika Andrews is expected to pick up her WNBA responsibilities, while Williamson will jump right in on the college side, starting with Penn State vs. No. 3 South Carolina on Dec. 14.

3. Wilson, Bueckers, & Collier Named to Boardroom’s “50 Names” List 🌟

A’ja Wilson, Paige Bueckers, and Napheesa Collier have been selected to Boardroom’s “The 50 Names in The Boardroom,” a list highlighting influential figures who shaped 2025 and are positioned to lead in 2026.

WHY IT MATTERS: Boardroom’s annual list shines a light on people making real cultural impact, and all three players continue to do exactly that. Wilson, Bueckers, and Collier are certainly excelling on the court, plus they’re building businesses, leading communities, and helping push women’s basketball further into the center of sports and entertainment.
