Happy “Fright”-day, Halloween lovers 🎃
The scariest thing on our mind is the WNBA CBA, which was set to expire today. Fortunately, last night, the two sides agreed to extend negotiations by 30 days.
What to Know About Women’s Basketball Today
1. Parker, Della Donne, and Reeve Headline 2026 Hall of Fame Class 🏆
Eight legends are headed to the hall next year. The Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame announced its 2026 inductees: Candace Parker, Elena Delle Donne, Cheryl Reeve, Doris Burke, Isabella Fijalkowski, Amaya Valdemoro, Kim Muhl, and Barbara Kennedy-Dixon. (ESPN)
WHY IT MATTERS: The Hall of Fame represents the highest honor in basketball, celebrating a person’s impact, legacy, and contributions to the women’s game. This year’s class spans players, coaches, and broadcasters who’ve helped shape and grow the women’s basketball. From Reeve’s dynasty-building in Minnesota to EDD's and Parker’s dominance as players, to Muhl’s ongoing legacy at the Juco level, this group represents a spectrum of important figures in the game.

2. The Naismith POY Watch List Is Here 👀
The Naismith Trophy revealed its 2025–26 Women’s College Player of the Year Watch List, highlighting the top players to watch this season.
WHY IT MATTERS: It’s the ultimate early-season honor, and a hint at who could dominate the college game this year. Past winners like Diana Taurasi, A’ja Wilson, and Maya Moore set the bar high. For us fans, it’s a roadmap of which stars to keep an eye on as the college season unfolds.

3. Unrivaled Finalizes 2026 Roster 🔒
The final three spots for the 2026 Unrivaled season were announced on Thursday, including Dominique Malonga, Aari McDonald, and Rebecca Allen. The league also confirmed that DiJonai Carrington will miss the season as she continues recovering from injury. (Unrivaled Basketball)
WHY IT MATTERS: The second Unrivaled season is shaping up to be even stronger, with international players joining the mix. However, notably absent are Sabrina Ionescu and Angel Reese, both part of last year’s debut season. With its full roster now set, the countdown to tipoff in January officially begins.
