2. Sandy Brondello Extends Commitment to Australian Olympic Team 🇦🇺

WHY IT MATTERS: Brondello, a former Opals star, has been at the helm of Australia’s national team since 2017, leading them to a bronze medal in the 2024 Paris Olympics. The Los Angeles Games will mark her seventh Olympics—four as a player (1988, 1996, 2000, 2004) and three as a coach (2020, 2024, 2028).
Her longevity in the game at the Olympic level, while also coaching championship teams in the WNBA, is uncommon and testament to her talent and impact on the game.
