What to Know About Women’s Basketball Today
1. Unrivaled’s Season 2 Rosters Drop Tonight 🏀
Unrivaled coaches have made their picks, and the full Season 2 club rosters will be revealed tonight.
📺 Tonight at 7 PM ET on Bleacher Report’s YouTube
WHY IT MATTERS: We finally get to see who’s teaming up, and who’s going head-to-head, for the 2026 season. Unrivaled is growing to eight clubs (up from six), with six players per team. The league’s 48 players feature a mix of returners like Jackie Young and Skylar Diggins plus first-timers such as Paige Bueckers and Dominique Malonga.

2. Sandy Brondello’s Seven-Figure Decision💰
The Toronto Tempo officially introduced Sandy Brondello as their first head coach yesterday, and she’s set to make over $1 million a year. (Front Office Sports)
WHY IT MATTERS: Brondello joins Becky Hammon (Aces) and Nate Tibbetts (Mercury) as the only WNBA coaches earning seven figures. She reportedly turned down an even higher offer from another team because she felt such strong collaboration with the Tempo’s front office. She was also courted by both Dallas and Seattle.

3. Women’s Hoops Takes 8% of College Revenue-Sharing 💸
Women’s college basketball players are earning 8% of all athlete revenue-sharing dollars in the first year schools can directly pay players. (On3)
WHY IT MATTERS: That’s the highest share of any women’s sport, though still far behind men’s programs overall. Between 8% and 12% of all payments this year are expected to go to women’s teams, led by women’s hoops. Thanks to the House v. NCAA settlement, Division I schools can now share up to $20.5 million annually with athletes, which is separate from NIL deals.
