Good morning! ☕️

If you’re looking for a fun matchup this weekend, you can catch both USCs (South Carolina and Southern California) facing off on Saturday at 9:00pm ET on FOX.

This should be a good one!

What to Know About Women’s Basketball Today

1. USC Signs No. 1 Recruit Saniyah Hall ✍️

The Trojans are coming. USC has officially signed Saniyah Hall, the No. 1 recruit in the Class of 2026, along with fellow top prospect Sitaya Fagan. (USC Trojans)

WHY IT MATTERS: This is becoming a pattern for the Trojans under head coach Lindsay Gottlieb, who has now signed three out of the last four No. 1 recruits: JuJu Watkins, Jazzy Davidson, and now Hall. It’s a recruiting run that could build a dynasty for Southern Cal, stacking the kind of talent that could return the program to the heights it last reached during the 1980s Cheryl Miller era.

2. Target Joins the WNBA Party, Drops New Merch Line 🛍

When big box retailers come knocking, you know something is working. Target just launched a brand-new WNBA merch collection in partnership with The Wild Collective, offering stylish, team-branded apparel in-store and online. (Just Women’s Sports)

WHY IT MATTERS: The WNBA is mainstream now. When a major retailer like Target, not a sports-specific store, carries sports league merch, it shows there’s massive demand from everyday fans, not just the diehards. And by meeting shoppers where they already are, this partnership brings even more visibility to the league.

3. FSU to Retire Natasha Howard’s Jersey This Sunday 🎽

This Sunday, Florida State will retire Natasha Howard’s jersey, honoring one of the most successful and productive players in program history. (Seminoles)

WHY IT MATTERS: Despite being a 2x All-Star and 3x WNBA champion, Howard doesn’t always get the shine she deserves. Her résumé is loaded and this honor is well earned for the 12-year WNBA vet. While at Florida State, Howard set all-time records in rebounds (1,047), career double-doubles (41), and the single-game scoring record (40). She’s the definition of a star, and this honor is long overdue.
