What to Know About Women’s Basketball Today
1. New York Liberty Stay Atop WNBA Power Rankings 🗽
Two weeks into the 2025 WNBA season, the New York Liberty remain undefeated (7-0)—and they’re the clear No. 1 across all major power rankings. The WNBA, The Athletic, and CBS Sports all list the Liberty at the top, with the Minnesota Lynx close behind in the No. 2 spot.
WHY IT MATTERS: It’s no shock that New York and Minnesota are leading the charge, but one surprise did shake up the rankings this week: The Athletic bumped the Atlanta Dream into the No. 3 spot. With four straight wins—including a come-from-behind road victory over the Seattle Storm—Atlanta is thriving under new head coach Karl Smesko.

Big news, Chuck—Homage just dropped a Peanuts x WNBA collection, and it's full of nostalgic magic.
Lucy, Peppermint Patty, Marcie, and Sally are repping their favorite W squads in this new line of vintage-style t-shirts and sweatshirts. Whether you're team Aces, Liberty, or just here for Snoopy’s ball-handling skills, there’s something for every fan.

2. Kaitlyn Chen Signs Contract to Play Pro 3×3 Basketball 🏀
Former UConn guard Kaitlyn Chen has signed with the 3×3 Basketball Association (3XBA), joining a growing list of recent WNBA draftees turning to the 3x3 pro circuit. Chen, who was drafted by the Golden State Valkyries but waived before the season, will debut at Spokane Hoopfest later this month. She joins other 2025 draftees Serena Sundell (K-State) and Madison Scott (Ole Miss). (Bleacher Report)
WHY IT MATTERS: The WNBA has just 156 roster spots, which means talented players like Chen often find themselves without a team. Leagues like 3XBA are helping to fill that gap. And by joining the 3×3 Basketball Association, players make themselves eligible to participate in the FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series and for Team USA in the future.

3. Candace Parker’s First Book Is Out Now 📙
Candace Parker’s new memoir, The Can-Do Mindset, hits shelves today. In her debut book, the WNBA icon shares her personal philosophy for success and opens up about her basketball journey. Here’s where you can order your copy.
WHY IT MATTERS: The title comes from her childhood nickname “Can-Do,” a name that became her personal mantra. Parker’s dominance on the court is undeniable, but it’s her leadership, advocacy, and poise off the court that make this memoir especially meaningful for anyone looking for success guidance.
